The NoScript tag is very useful when using JavaScript, as it allows you to show something to people with JavaScript turned off. Although much of the time this can be just a 'turn on JavaScript you fool or you can't use this site properly' message, it can be a lifesaver for JavaScript-powered sites. Although if you're powering your entire site by JavaScript, you're a bit of a muppet, as a significant number of people still keep JavaScript turned off.
